## Inspect before changing

The deterministic processing engine inspects the exact source for registry-backed artifacts. It does not silently rewrite, normalize, or overwrite the draft.

No authorship verdict, detector score, or claim that cleaned text is human-written. A finding describes an observed artifact and nothing more.

## Review bounded actions

Only fixture-proven launch actions are offered. Zero-width space and eligible byte-order marks can become reviewable removal edits; language-sensitive, directional, variation-selector, and credential-like observations remain report-only.

- Keep the exact source available throughout the session.
- Choose whether to include each supported cleanup edit.
- Review editorial changes and reasons before using the result.

## Refine explicitly

Inspect and Clean cross the public entry point only to the private deterministic engine and never call Azure OpenAI. Pressing Refine may send a draft to Azure OpenAI for transient editorial processing.
